Does Anyone Even Read Sales Copy Anymore?

In this day and age there are very few people who read sales copies. Companies spend plenty of money trying to lure someone into buying something but when it comes down to it, most people look at the product and make their own assumptions. This could be for numerous reasons. One of which is that the sales copies are not good enough to capture the reader. It can come down to the person writing the article is not educated on the sales product or it could be that they are not educated in sales to begin with. Another reason is the more subtle of the two; people make up their own minds about what they buy and they feel that all sales copies are just another tactic companies use to lure them in. This reasoning is true. All sales copies are is just another way of getting a person to buy something. If they are not sure they are going to buy the product by looking at it, then maybe the sales copy will close the deal. In any case, the art of the sales copy is going downhill at best.
